Buying a used Volkswagen - signing a diesel emissions disclaimer?

A Volkswagen franchised used car dealer (Inchcape ) says I will be asked to sign an emissions disclaimer when purchasing a used Volkswagen TDI car. Do I have to sign it in order to buy the car? If possible could someone give me a definitive answer very quickly. I think I can collect the car tomorrow. Thanks.

Yes, if they make it part of the contract you have to sign it stating that you will not hold them liable. If you don't sign it they don't have to sell you the car.
