I recently took my 2008 Jag XF for a routine service at a main dealer who reported a problem with the injectors. On removal the diesel was found to be contaminated with 30% (est) petrol which invalidated my warranty. The vehicle has never been misfuelled
The last fill of 56L was at a Shell service station and both the receipt and the filling station confirm that the fuel came from a diesel pump. The Jaguar dealer drained the tank of the remaining 25L of fuel and sealed it into a container sealed by chain of custody.
I have contacted Shell customer services but have yet to receive a reply other than an acknowledgment of the email. The diagnostic work has so far cost some £450 but the total bill is likely to be in the region of £5700.
I am uncertain how to proceed and any advice would be appreciated.
