Why is the battery in the Toyota GT86 so small?

I have complained to Toyota about my GT86 not starting due to a battery flat. The problem has caused me to lose complete confidence in the car. They have washed their hands of the situation. Where do I go from here?

The car has a small, light battery to suit the dynamics of the car. How far do you regularly drive it, and how often? That might be the problem. You may be able to get a higher capacity Yuasa battery the same size that better suits the way you are using the car.
