My Vauxhall Astra van has oil in the water reservoir - is this a blown head gasket?
My 2001 Vauxhall Astra van 1.7 TDi has oil in the water reservoir. Could it be the head gasket or the oil cooler? What is the most common cause?

If the oil cooler is situated inside the radiator, yes. Transmission heat exchangers often are, but engine oil coolers usually arent'. Otherwise it's likely to be the head gasket.
