Does the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer use MINI engines?
I have just bought a BMW 218d Active Tourer registered in July 2015. However, after reading your Backroom forum, I have discovered the issues with the MINI Cooper engines and awful timing chain design problems. Is the 2 series diesel engine I am about to buy related to the problem MINI engines? If so have BMW sorted the chain problems yet?

In the 218d Active Tourer, and in all three and four cylinder BMWs from 2015, it's a new, modular engine unrelated to the previous BMW and Peugeot engines.
