£500 goodwill payment not been paid - what should we do?
Following a power steering pump failure on our 2011 Ford Grand C-Max, the local Ford dealer agreed to replace the entire steering rack at a cost of £1200. Though the car was out of warranty, Ford UK agreed contribute £500 as a goodwill payment.
However, some six months later, we are still waiting for the £500. We paid for the repair in full and we cannot get any sense from the dealer or Ford UK as to why we have not yet been repaid.

You write to the dealer principal of the Ford dealership and you tell him he is in breach of contract. You agreed to pay the £1,200 for the repair on the basis that £500 would be refunded. If it is not refunded by the dealer you sue him for it in the Small Claims track of the County Court.
