Which is better - Chain or belt driven vehicles?
Which is better a chain or belt driven vehicle? And if you were to purchase a vehicle for £2000 or less - Toyota Yaris for example - would this factor your decision on which one to go for?

Chain was better, but recently a lot of lousy chains have been fitted, particulary to VAG cars. If paying £2000 an excellent little chain cammer is the 1.0 or 1.3 in a 1999 - 2005 Toyota Yaris. The 1.3 continued into the next Yaris, but the 1.0 then got the 1.0 3 cylinder engine from the Aygo.
