What's the best used car for £2000 - £3000?
I have £2000 - £3000 to spend and need a reliable car. I don't know if I want a diesel or petrol. I travel about 200-300 miles a week. I want a cheap car, with low running costs and affordable parts should anything go wrong.

Don't buy a diesel in this price range because it could easily cost you more than you paid for it in repairs over the first year. The generally most reliable cars are Hondas and (with some exceptions) Toyotas. Be open minded and buy the best car for the money.
