1998 ford 2.5 turbo diesel bhp, ans 2006 2.2 Peugot HDI BHP information please

Hi.In process of buying another motorhome, and trying to compare engine power. ie, 1998 ford transit motorhome 2.5 turbo disel BHP and 2006 Auto cruise 2.2 Peugeot HDI Turbo. Don't want to commit, and then find the Peugeot hasn't got the power of an engine I am used to. Forever grateful. Thanks. Rod.

Look them up in vans.honestjohn.co.uk/ The Sevel built Peugeot/Citroen/FIAT is the most popular basis for campers and motorhomes, followed by Renault, followed by Ford. Crankshaft aux belt pulley failure is common on Transit 2.2s. Remember, all these vehicles are basically designed to be used as vans covering maybe 200,000 miles in 4 years, then being scrapped. They are not designed to do 3,000 miles a year for 20 years as a motorhome.
