Buying a used Focus - petrol or diesel?
We are thinking of buying a 2013 Ford Focus. We are advised that the 1.6 diesel is fine for longish journeys, but are concerned that it might give problems if only short journeys are used due to the DPF. We do around 150 mile per week?with occasional motorway travel. Will a diesel be okay for this?

If you will be doing a succession of short runs from cold starts then a diesel is not appropriate to your needs and you will probably have DPF trouble. You should go for a Focus 1.0 EcoBoost.
