Audi A4 won't rev past 1000rpm
I own a Audi A4, which starts perfectly but wont rev above 1000rpm until I have waited approx one minute. Then it revs fine although a bit blows blue smoke. The glow plug light flashes all the time. Paid £1800 to have oil pump replaced and new turbo fitted. What could be causing the rev problem ?

It's not desirable for the engine to rev past 1000rpm from cold. But something is still wrong. Best to get it to an independent VAG specialist. Smoke from cold will be because one of the glowplugs is not lighting up. Smoke when warm might be because the turbo bearing oil/seal has failed.
