Someone has cloned my car's registration - what should I do?
In July last year I received insurance papers for someone claiming to live at my address. Assuming it was a genuine error I phoned the insurer and wrote to confirm that this person did not live at my address and had never done so.
Over the last four months I've received insurance papers for two more individuals each claiming to live at my address. Realising that this was part of an insurance fraud, I took this up with the insurance companies, who are investigating. To cap it all I've received a notice from Essex Police for a speeding offence.
What advice do you have for anyone caught up in this?

The reason must be that they have cloned the plate of your car. The only way to fight this is to change your registration to a cheap 'cherished' plate. Then the only car on the road with the fake plate will be the cloner and the chance of him getting picked up increases.
