Buying a used car for £6k - Fabia or Jazz?
A friend of mine is interested in buying a used car for £6000. She is interested in the Skoda Fabia and Honda Jazz. The car must be spacious, comfortable and have four-doors. What should she look out for?

£6k only gets a first generation Jazz 1.4iDSI CVT-7. Might get a Mk II Jazz 1.4iVTEC manual, but not a CVT-7. Avoid the Jazz i-shift. Not keen on the strange looking Mk II Fabia, but if she likes them, up to her.

Neatly styled. Increased room and better performance than original Jazz. better to drive. Very versatile. CVT-7 returned in February 2011 replacing i-SHIFT. More reliable than first generation Jazz.
Decently built and good value. Cheap to run. Greenline models are very economical with low CO2 emissions.
