Car in storage - How can we prevent the battery going flat?

My wife's Honda CR-Z is often left standing in the garage for long periods. What would you suggest we buy for keeping the battery fully charged?

The simplest way to deal with this is to buy one from Halfords. Just ask for a battery conditioning float charger. They should know what you mean. These are very small devices. Much smaller than a traditional battery charger.
