Does the Porsche Boxster have any known handling problems?

I am a girl with a passion for sports cars. I have previously owned a BMW Z3 and Audi TT. I drove past my local Porsche dealer last week and saw a 2001 Boxster in bright yellow priced at £10,995. It has a full service history and has only done 44,000 miles. I want it! I am worried about some of the comments on this site which make reference to the handling of a Porsche, should I be worried about this? I consider myself to be a great driver and could handle my other cars no problem. I am also slightly worried about the cost of any repairs. Is this likely to be a lot more that a TT or Z3? Should I buy or not? Any guidance is gratefully accepted.

No handling problems with a Boxster, but repair costs can be colossal.
