Audi Q3 - petrol or diesel?

Would you recommend an Audi Q3 with a 1.4 litre petrol engine or a 2.0 litre diesel engine?

I'm a female driver, do around 12,000 miles per year, a mixture of local journeys and some further afield.

1.4TSI 150 ACT, all day long. Lighter and altogether much more pleasant, as well as without all the diesel problems, even though VAG's EA288 TDIs are relatively low emission.
