What should I buy as my first car?
My daughter has been having driving lessons for a few months and feedback from her instruction is very good. To help provide her with more 'on the road hours' I'm thinking of buying a car for her. Budget is about £2,000 and thoughts are with a Toyota Yaris. Insurance (as a learner and newly qualified) seems reasonable (£450 and £1,400 respectively) and as it will be in her name she'll be (hopefully) earning some NCB.
Any other make/models I should consider?

You're right. A Yaris is best (as long as you find a good one).
