Can I sue a dealer over a misdiagnosed fault?
I took my motorhome to a Mercedes dealer to diagnose a fault light. They had it for three hours and charged £260. They told me it needed five new injectors at £2000. I did not believe them and took it to an independent diesel specialist who told me the injectors were like new and it had probably been an electrical spike as it cleared on restart. Can I sue the Mercedes Dealer for attempted fraud and get my test fee back?

You can attempt this. Start with the Small Claims track of The County Court. Of course, you will need written testimony from your diesel specialist. The threat of your action may result in a quick settlement.
