Will my Jeep Cherokee's alarm sound if I disconnect the battery and reconnect it later?

I have a 2002 4.0L Grand Cherokee. I work offshore and each time I come home my battery is flat. Until now there has been some life in the battery but not enough to turn it over, so I jump-start it off another car and it's fine for daily use. This time, however, I tried connecting a battery booster to the completely dead battery and the car alarm sounded along with the horn. The same happened when I tried jumping it from another car. Without wanting to annoy the neighbours, will the alarm and horn stop sounding if I keep the power connected from either the battery booster or jump car after a short while? The battery is new and I know I have a problem with the battery draining, to be sorted later. I could disconnect the battery each time I go to work but would I have the same problem of the horn and alarm sounding when I try to connect it again when I get home?

I think the only way you will find the answer to this one is by actually trying, ie disconnect the battery and reconnect on return. It may be more prudent to find out why the battery is draining.
