Is the Isuzu Rodeo a reliable used buy?
I am thinking of buying a 2009 Isuzu Rodeo 3.0-litre diesel. It has 70,000 miles on the clock. The garage let me put it up on the ramp and I noticed some oil staining (not visibly dripping) around the bottom of the transmission box. It was dampish to the touch. Also when started from cold there was an initial small puff of smoke but then appeared to run clean. Should I be concerned?

No actual blobs of oil then not a real worry. All diesels emit a small puff of unburned hydrocarbon soot on start up, most of which is collected by the DPF. I don't see that as a worry either. A 2009 Rodeo has the best drivetrain of any pick-up of its generation. I've had a couple.
