Can I mix the tyres on my Mazda MX-5?

I have been advised by my local garage that I can mix the two Yokohama tyres fitted to my Mazda MX-5 with two Bridgestone tyres. Is this correct?

Up to you, but not ideal. Yokahamas tend to be fairly soft and sticky so the recipe you propose could lead to a few swapped ends.
