When does diesel become more cost-effective than petrol?
What do you believe to be the mileage per annum cut off point when diesel becomes more cost effective than petrol? I need to change my car, do 17000 miles per annum, and unsure what to buy based on possible new charges for diesel. For last 15 years have only bought diesel. Many thanks

15k - 20k a year. But for a diesel to work for you it has to be the right diesel. A reliable one. KIA or Hyundai 1.6CRDI or, for the best mpg, Honda 1.6iDTEC 120PS.
