Sat nav and telephone on a Honda Jazz - Is this right?

I have just bought my wife a 65 reg Honda Jazz 1.4 VTEC EX CVT. It is fitted with the Honda "SD NAV" system. With this system fitted the telephone buttons on the steering wheel do not operate the telephone, and to answer the phone one has to take one's eyes off the road and touch the sat nav screen; I consider this to be dangerous. The Honda garage where I purchased the car have been very helpful, but they can not do anything about it. I find it unacceptable that Honda has this system that renders the buttons of no use and the phone potentialy dangerous to answer.

I agree, it's a fault. But I don't consider it to be dangerous because it's easier to see the correct button on the tablet screen than to see it on the steering wheel.
