Why don't Fords in the UK get Sync3?

Having recently returned from a two week driving holiday in America, my rental Mustang had Sync3, which is a great improvement over Sync2. I also saw Fiestas with the same system in the USA. Why isn’t Sync3 fitted to UK cars? Even the mustang on sale in the UK has the five year old and painful Sync2.

Thanks for your observations. Added them to the Mustang and Edge car by car entries. I can't answer for Ford.
