Peugeot 308 SW anti-pollution warning light - what does it mean?

I own a Peugeot 308 SW. Today the anti-pollution warning light has come on. Am I still able to drive the car?

It is possible that if you fill up with decent fuel (preferably Shell V-Power) and drive the car a significant distance (50 miles plus) then the DPF might actively regenerate. It will not if you drive it short distances from cold starts.
