Is a sticky first gear on a Citigo a common problem?

I have a newish Skoda Citigo and the 1st gear can be very sticky on occasion. Is this normal or a warning of a more serious issue?

Quite a common problem on the Citigo, Mii and Up. Variable quality of the transmissions. If it's under warranty, demand that the supplying dealer fixes it.
