I went through an amber traffic light - am I likely to be prosecuted?

I just went through an amber light in a 40mph zone. I didn't see a flash but I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I'm worrying because I've got six points already.

It's no crime to go through an amber if you can't safely stop.
