Why won't my Nissan Primera estate start?

I'm having a problem with my Nissan Primera 2-litre diesel estate. The engine management light came on, the car cut out and now won't start.

There could be many reasons for this. I would suggest that you get the vehicle on a diagnostic check to see if it shows a fault code, which should then identify the problem.
