Will my BMW require a replacement DPF?
I have a 2011 BMW 320d. It's the N47 engine and had the timing chain done last year at 130k miles and was done at 80k miles. It's now covered 182k miles mainly motorway driving and the DPF light keeps coming on. I've been told the DPF sometimes needs replacing and could be part of the cat convertor as a complete unit. Is this so as it sounds like it could be a bit pricey?

Yes, it will be. Might be possible to have the ash cleaned out by the Ceramex process for about £350. Otherwise you're into £1000 or more for a new DPF.
