Is there a fault with my Audi A4's start-stop system?
I believe I have a problem with my Audi A4 Avant B8's start-stop system. Whatever I do, including switching everything including radio, lights and climate control off, I cannot achieve more than 25 seconds. What causes this? My car has been inspected by Audi and they have replaced the battery. This has made little to no difference. They are adamant that no other faults are found. Is this normal?

Probably due to the state of the battery due to the fairly short distances you drive. A start-stop system relies on the car doing sufficient distance to fully charge the battery, and with a regenerating alternator that is much further than a normal car.
