Should my new Audi be petrol or diesel?

I'm looking at buying an Audi soon but I don't know what engine to get. I only do approximately 50 miles during the week and, on some weekends, 100 or more. I'm thinking of the 1.9 TDI or 2.0TDI, but which is better and should I go for petrol?
