Could you recommend a used car for £6000?

I have £6000 to spend on a used car. It should be 1.4 litre with a petrol engine, to cover about 7000 miles per year, mainly short 3-10 mile journeys and a few longer trips. It should be economical and reliable, with a medium boot capacity.
