Should it cost £500 to repair my Mercedes-Benz SLK's BAS fault?
My 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK has done 23,000 miles. The BAS warning light on the cluster came on after about half an hour's drive and then stays on (even after stopping and restarting). Next day, same thing. The Mercedes-Benz garage says it's unusual and needs two new pressure pads in the system, which costs£500! Does this sound reasonable?

BAS or ABS? If ABS then yes, £500 could be reasonable for the repair. The car is after all six years old. The relatively low mileage has no bearing on anything.
