Where are the fan heater sensors in my Citroen Xantia?

I have had a T-reg Citroen Xantia 1.9TDI for a couple of years and had to change the fan heater twice because it didn't always come on. It now won't work at all and I have been told its the sensors. Have you any idea how to locate them?

To trace the sensors would require a wiring diagram, so acquire one of these (or a workshop manual) which will show the location.
