I've found that I was not registered as the owner of my car when I bought it. Can I reject it?
I purchased a vehicle from a dealer and the tax is up for renewal. I received no reminder from the DVLA of this and contacted them to find out why. It turns out that I am not the registered keeper of the vehicle. As I am unhappy with the vehicle, can I return it to them? It has various faults including leaks, and it would appear that I do not own it.

Depends when you bought the vehicle. If within six months and the dealer has not transferred registration to you, then probably yes. If more than six months, no, and you will have to use a form V62 to get the vehicle registered in your name.
