How do I reset my Mitsubishi Spacestar's fuel range indicator?

I have a 52-plate Mitsubishi Spacestar which shows the approximate distance you can travel with fuel, but when I topped up the distance did not change. Now it's showing no miles but I've still got half a tank. Does it need to be reset?

Try re-starting the trip distance.
