How do I get to the reversing light gearbox switch in my Nissan Micra?
I have a Nissan Micra K11 and the reverse light will not come on. I have tried changing the bulb, with no luck. I've been told that this is probably the switch in the gearbox. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions of how to get at this and check it? I can't afford a manual!

We cannot give you a step-by-step guide on how to change the switch. Other than the Haynes manual, there is www.emanualonline.com which you could try. Failing that, you try www.askthemechanic.co.uk which charges for the service. Or you could try posting in Technical Matters in the Backroom forum at www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/ which is free.
