Is it normal for an engine to use a litre of oil in 11,000 miles?
My Citroen Berlingo van is coming up to one year old. It's done 23,000 miles, and last week the oil light came on. I checked it, and it was on the first bar - empty. I had a service at 12,000 miles. How can it use that much oil?

An engine could easily use a litre or more of oil in 11,000 miles.
