What are your thoughts on the Ford Durashift transmission as fitted to the Ford Fusion?

I am thinking of buying a Ford Fusion with Durashift transmission. Is this advisable and what are the drawbacks with this type of transmission? My general mileage is about 5000 miles per year. It will be a used vehicle with no more than 20,000 miles on the clock. Any advice, especially with problems this type of transmission may be prone to? Would a 1.4 automatic be a better option?

The 1.6 torque converter automatic is okay. The 1.4 with automated manual (whatever Ford calls it) is dubious.
