Where can I get a replacement CPU for my Citroen Berlingo?

I have a very well maintained Citroen Berlingo - 10 years old, 100,000 miles. The dealers tell me that the idling sensor has burnt out the engine management CPU so that it cuts out at idle sometimes. They want 1200 Euros for a new CPU. Is this reasonable? Can I obtain the part cheaper elsewhere?
