Are winter tyres worth paying for?

I have a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and wondered if it was worthwhile having either winter or crossover tyres for the winter period? We live in a rural area.

Without any shadow of doubt. A 4WD system is not much use without them. Michelin does Cross Climates in both 215/70 R16 and in 225/55 R18, which are the two sizes of tyre fitted to Outlanders. They will improve ride comfort, steering feel and overall refinement as well as the cold weather benefits and can be left on the car all year round.
