Is my Nissan X-Trail's broken timing chain related to earlier turbocharger problems?

I bought an '05 Nissan X-Trail new. At 2000 miles the turbo blew. At 30,000 the replacement blew which Nissan replaced out of warranty as a goodwill gesture because of an acknowledged turbo failure problem....
