New prices start from £23,860
Insurance Groups are between 17–26
On average it achieves 64% of the official MPG figure

Citroen renamed its Picasso range - with the Grand C4 SpaceTourer replacing the Grand C4 Picasso. It's in a bid to bring the MPVs in-line with the SpaceTourer van-based people carrier.

The first Citroen C4 Picasso was introduced in 2006, with sales of the French people carrier remaining bouyant as the market shifts towards SUVs. However, insiders reportedly felt that there was an unnecessary divide between the small and large MPVs caused by the different naming strategies.

The carmaker says its three MPVs "benefit from Citroen's know-how in terms of space, practicality and well-being."

Along with the name change, new safety kit will be available on both the C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer. A new safety pack comes as standard on all top-spec Flair models including a driver attention alert, speed sign recognition and active safety brake.

A 160PS BlueHDi diesel is available paired with the latest EAT8 automatic gearbox. Although fuel economy figures are yet to be confirmed, Citroen says the eight-speed gearbox reduces fuel consumption of up to 7 percent compared to the EAT6 'box. The stop-start function now kicks in at speeds up to 12mph, while a 2kg weight saving also aids efficiency.

Prices for the C4 SpaceTourer start at £21,125 while the Grand C4 SpaceTourer costs from £23,425. The new BlueHDi 160 diesel engine was introduced fin une 2018 with prices starting at £27,550 and £29,250 for the C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer respectively. The EAT8 gearbox will be paired with other engines later in 2018.

Model History

May 2018

Citroen replaced Grand C4 Picasso with Grand C4 SpaceTourer

Citroen also introduced a new BlueHDi 160 S&S Diesel engine – paired with a new EAT8 automatic gearbox – to both the C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer from June 2018.

This will be the first time this new engine and gearbox combination will feature in the Citroën range, for even greater driving comfort. The C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer BlueHDi 160 S&S EAT8 will be priced from just £27,550 OTR and £29,250 OTR respectively.

The C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer have officially adopted the ‘SpaceTourer’ nomenclature to complete the Citroën MPV range. This use of the ‘SpaceTourer’ signature replaces the ‘Picasso’ name and allows the brand to present a new global offering with three MPVs – C4 SpaceTourer (5-seats), Grand C4 SpaceTourer (7-seats) and the original SpaceTourer (5 to 9-seats).

All three models also benefit from Citroën's know-how in terms of space, practicality and well-being. Built on the EMP2 platform, they all incorporate useful technologies that prioritise safety and make everyday life easier, while offering remarkable dynamic behaviour and efficiency.

From 1 May 2018, C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer also gain new safety equipment. A new ‘Safety Pack’ becomes standard equipment on all Flair versions, which includes Driver Attention Alert, Speed Sign Recognition and Recommendation, and Active Safety Brake. Prices for the Citroën C4 SpaceTourer start from £21,125.

December 2020

Updated Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer range priced from £26,210

The multi-award winning Grand C4 SpaceTourer is now available with three trim levels: ‘Live’, ‘Sense’ and ‘Shine’, and with prices starting from just £26,210, a reduction of £1250 under the brand’s new ‘Fair Pricing’ policy.

All models feature a 12-inch panoramic HD central display, a 7-inch Touch Drive interface with Bluetooth® and DAB radio, rear parking sensors, and Citroën Connect Nav with a three-year subscription to TomTom Live Services® standard on all versions. Mid-level ‘Sense’ models go further with a reversing camera, dark tinted side and rear windows, keyless entry and start, Active Safety Brake and Driver Attention Alert.

Range topping ‘Shine’ models enjoy a large glass panoramic roof, Xenon headlights, a motorised tailgate, active cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.

Price cut for more efficient Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer

Citroen has announced a reduction of 3g/km of CO2 on Grand C4 SpaceTourer PureTech 3-cylinder petrol automatic variants.

Available on Grand C4 SpaceTourer from March 2021 production, the developments come in the form of a new battery and the fitment of a new high-efficiency alternator to optimise performance.

In addition to the increased efficiency of these selected variants, customers will also benefit from a £285 on the road cost reduction as a result of a lower CO 2 output placing the vehicle in a lower VED tax band.

For company car drivers, the lower CO 2 emissions result in a BIK tax band reduction of 1% on ‘Live’ and ‘Sense’ trim levels – as an example, this reduces the monthly tax bill of a 40% tax payer by over £110 in the 2021-22 tax period (when driving a Sense PureTech 130 Stop & Start EAT8 automatic model).

With a newly re-structured range as of December 2020, the multi-award winning Grand C4 SpaceTourer seven-seater is now available in three trims: ‘Live’, ‘Sense’ and ‘Shine’, with prices starting from just £26,210 MRRP OTR.

All models come with a 12-inch panoramic HD central display, a 7-inch Touch Drive interface with Bluetooth® and DAB radio, rear parking sensors, and Citroën Connect Nav including a 3 year subscription to Connected Navigation Pack services, including Real Time Traffic & Speedcam standard on all versions. Mid-level ‘Sense’ models go further with a reversing camera, dark tinted side and rear windows, keyless entry and start, Active Safety Brake and Driver Attention Alert.

Range topping ‘Shine’ models enjoy a large glass panoramic sunroof, Xenon headlights, motorised tailgate, active cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.

In line with the Citroën Advance UK strategy announced in October 2020 and effective from December 2020, a price reduction of £1,250 was applied to the Grand C4 SpaceTourer UK range under the brand’s new ‘Fair Pricing’ policy, a long-term and fundamental change to the UK business model that saw list prices across the model range reduced to new fair and transparent levels.

Revised Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer priced from £28,630

Citroen UK has revealed pricing and specification details for its new, updated Grand C4 SpaceTourer seven-seater MPV range. Order books are open now and production commences in October 2021.

Effective from October 2021 production, Citroën UK has streamlined Grand C4 SpaceTourer’s trim and engine options, with the model now available in the two most popular trim levels only – Sense and Shine – meaning the entry-level Live trim is no longer available. For Sense versions, Citroën UK has removed the BlueHDi 130 EAT8 automatic powertrain to prioritise more popular engine variants that remain.

Sense models feature 17-inch ‘Shamal’ alloy wheels, dark tinted side windows and integrated aluminium roof bars. All models also feature 3D-effect rear lights, as well as a reversing camera for added ease of driving. Inside, Sense models feature a 12-inch Panoramic HD central display and a 7-inch Touch Drive interface with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay™ as standard. ‘Sense’ models also feature Citroën Connect Nav with three-years of live traffic updates.

To ensure the safety of drivers, passengers and other road users, all models feature Active Safety Brake with Forward Collision Warning, Driver Attention Alert, Speed Limit Recognition and Recommendation as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Best-selling and range-topping Shine models add a panoramic sunroof and black door mirrors to the exterior styling, as well as Xenon Intelligent Beam headlights – which automatically dip to prevent dazzling oncoming road users. Shine models also benefit from an active lane-departure warning system, as well as active cruise control with speed limiter, and braking function for semi-autonomous motorway driving. A blind-spot monitoring system helps reduce accidents even further, while a park assist function can take over parking duties in difficult situations.

Sense and Shine trims are both available with a choice efficient petrol and Diesel engines, with either a manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic transmission (paired to the PureTech 130 petrol engine). Shine trim has the additional option of a BlueHDi 130 Diesel engine with the eight-speed automatic ‘box.

Pricing for the revised Grand C4 SpaceTourer range starts from £28,630.
