Model History

January 0001

Coupe and spider replace F360. 4512mm long x 1923mm wide x 1234mm high.

Timing chain 4,308cc V8 engine develops 483bhp at 8,500 rpm and 465 Nm (343 lbs ft) torque at 5,250 rpm. Top speed: over 193 mph. 0-60 mph: 4.0 seconds.

Electronic differential (E-diff), steering wheel-mounted rotary switch, known as the ‘manettino’, which allows the car’s set-up to be adjusted easily and quickly. F430 Spider has compact, fully automatic electric hood that allows the engine to be seen at all times and which, once lowered, takes up relatively little space.

430 Scuderia launched Frankfurt Show September 2007 with weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg – 100 kg less than the F430 – and to the naturally-aspirated 4308 cc V8’s 510 hp at 8500 rpm. 0 to 60 in just 3.5 seconds. F1-SuperFast2 gearbox and E-Diff coupled with F1-Trac traction control system.

Carboceramic brakes adopted as a standard feature of all F430s in October 2007.
