I purchased a car from a dealer who would not reduce the price as the car was coming with a Autoguard warranty. This warranty covered any repairs with the exception of faults relating to wear and tear to the vehicle. I thought I was getting a good deal. Now I booked my car in for an authorised audi dealer to repair some minor faults.
I have been informed today that my claim was rejected because the service history did not meet their long list of requirements (like the log book signed, itemised invoice, serviced whenever the car is meant to be serviced) as specified in the terms and conditions.
I would recommend anyone wishing to take out a warranty to think again. It is much more hassle than its worth. Plus you have to pay for the diagnostics report regardless if the claim is rejected or accepted.
I have wasted days over first sending it to halfords only to be told to take this to an audi specialist, and now running around on buses whilst my car is with the audi specialists.
I would definitely not recommend Autoguard.
Best wishes
