Leaving a local supermarket I found myself behind a lovely condition 54 VW Transporter T5. Luckily it went the same way as I was going. Within a couple of miles it turned off into a little estate. So I followed and parked up nearby. Out of curiosity I looked up the mileage on the MOT check site. The MOT was out of date by over a month! At the last MOT in September 2017 the mileage was just over 49,000 miles. So I went and knocked on the door of the owner. He had no idea the MOT was out of date and very appreciative I'd let him know. Also showed me round the van, it was immaculate with VW FSH, one owner before him. The previous owner had lived and used it for work in Ipswich. It had never been any further away than Bury St Edmunds. I've the offer of calling in again to have a drive in it. Unfortunately not for sale.
