This section of M25 between the A1 and the M11 often gets closed because of problems in the radworks. Happened to me while on the way clockwise to catch a 06.20 flight from Stansted business terminal. Once my brain kicked in, I headed north about 15 - 20 miles up the A1, then set the built-in TomTom to Birchanger (the village near the services at the M11 Stansted turn-off). A bit like that footballer in the Porsche in another thread, it took me along single track roads across rural Hertfordshire while (happily) everyone was still asleep, and I emerged at Birchanger just in time to make my flight. Wouldn't have been the same at any thime during the official working day.
