I have always found the Ford/Getrag Powershift to be excellent: in the Focus II and III, in the C-Max, in the S-Max and in the Mondeo. You don't have to brake to move the lever from N to D, which overcomes the reson for the hesitation with DSGs and s-tronics. I've abused the system fairly violently while stopping and re-starting duting single handed filming. Had complaints about Powershift with a 2.0TDCI Focus, but the resaon for that turned out to be a clogged DPF. Currently trying to get to the bottom of a jerkiness with a Focus 1.6 petrol Powershift. It does require fresh fluid and microfilter every 2-3 years, which is £200. Powershift is now available to order for the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost with deliveries from December. Apparently the small engine Powershift is twin dry clutch, not twin wet clutch like the Powershift with bigger engines, but have yet to confirm this.
