The C2 as mentioned in the news at the moment has caught my interest. However, I can't find any real info about the. The Car-by-car has very little on it, and the suggested prices there (starting at £5500) are far lower than those quoted in the news item. The Citroen site is absolutely useless - you have to look in concept cars to even find it mentioned and there are no concrete details. Can anyone point me at a site that has some technical details, equipment levels etc?
The car itself looks like a bit of a mixture between a Corolla, a Yaris and a Punto. Only question mark in my mind would be the legendary Citroen unreliability... (Although reports on here seem to suggest that's getting better?)

The C2 cbcb entry was updated this morning. It had been based on what little info was available previously. The update must have been after you looked at it. Unfortunately I\'m going to miss the UK launch late September because it clashes with the Mazda 3. But I think you\'ll agree the car looks great.

Thanks, HJ, I must admit I looked last night rather than this morning so did miss the update. I'd still be interested to know things like power outputs and what each time level offers, but I suppose I'll just have to wait a few weeks and in the mean-time try and work out just where my local Citroen dealer is! (I honestly have no idea - I can think of just about every other including Hyundai and Kia, but not Citroen!)

Absolutely in agreement - its a fantastic little design, and I'd say it captures the 'cute but chunky' spirit far better than even the new Micra. The higher tuned C2 Sport version looks spangly too, and it'll be interesting to see what the army of Saxo tweakers manage to make of it should it reach the high street :)
I'll probably get ostracised for saying this too, but I think it'd make a lovely dinky cabriolet.. as long as they stay away from that Meccano kit that comes with the Pluriel ;)
Anyway, linkage:

Actually - just found a better one.. apologies if these images have already been linked to :) beware though, as they're pretty high resolution and may take a while on dialup connections.

It is pretty cute, sort of Yaris-y with a Fiesta front [??] although does anyone else find the odd shape of that back window, [rear quarter light?] a bit jarring? I have the same problem with the 3 door Yaris, although it's much less pronounced in that case.

Kuang,
you're doing a better job than Citroen at showing us this - I checked out their website and found some ridiculous mixing machine thing. Great, just what I needed when I was hoping to find out some more about the car.

Yup, Lee, that was my point exactly. It's not even listed as a current model but as a concept car.
As for the shape, from the side, the front sort of looks like the latest Corolla, but from the front it looks like nothing else on the market! Can't decide if it's nice or not but would be willing to try one.

I know they have dropped the prices before the launch, but I wonder how long it will be until it gets the full "NO VAT" discount?
Definitely a car to watch out for after the initial launch hype though.
