About to purchase from New-car-discount. - Borafeck
I'm about to purchase a VW Passat from them, 04 delivery. Excellent trade in price. I have checked them on Companies house, all appears correct. Local trading standards, have not heared a dicky bird about them. Offered to deliver it straight to the door, have told them I will go to Stockport to collect. They have said that they will give me a full tank of fuel.

Is it just me? I just feel it's too good to be true. Probably just being sceptical but they are nearly £2,500 cheaper than the same model from a VW dealership.

Anyone think I'm over reacting of should I just go ahead with the purchase.

No sweat. VAG wants to improve its sales figures for 2003 and has put a lot of support behind the models it needs to shift to accomplish this. But go for it quickly because the cars have to be registered by the end of the year and the best bargains are selling out fast.

Borafeck, check my post about lazy dealer - if it hadn't been for my wife deciding that she couldn't wait 10 weeks for an 04 plate we would have bought through them quite happily. When I first came across them I checked with Stockport trading standards who said they hadn't had any complaints. I thought their part-ex was low, but their on the road price excellent

Nsar, ordered my car today for an 04 plate, road price for the passat was excellent and got a great trade in price on my bora ( will need to change my name now !!!) all seems well, gave them my £500 deposit and have been more than helpful.

we purchased a pug 307, excellent service, price, delivered to the door with full tank. Seem to come straight from a pug dealer as it had all their stickers etc on. We went to look at a few dealers and one of them recommended new-car and said they couldn't beat their prices.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy of them again

Thanks for that Si, ordered with them yesterday and have been nothing but professional with me. Visa has been debited and are very thorough in what paperwork is required from the purchaser.
Factory order, waiting until 04 plate. Everything going well, will hopefully be able to recommend them to anyone.

A very happy customer.

I purshased a new pre reg Punto from new car discount 6 months ago.

The car was delivered on time, however there was a small dint in the divers door. I was reluctant to accept it but they said they would get dentmaster to fix it, or replace it if they couldn't fix it.I couple of days later dentmaster arrived and did an excellent job at removing the dent.

However the Car was supplied without a Service book and some six months later i'm still waiting for the service book.

Overall thought they were a bit amateurish, probably pay a bit more next time and not buy from them.

Hi Borafeck,

If my experience is anything to go by, just go ahead and order it, I have just taken delivery of my first (but my family\'s fourth) car from them.
I was previously very nervous about buying my car (Land Cruiser) from the internet, but it has all gone very smoothly on three out of four occasions, the other car was delayed three weeks but it all worked out in the end.
Gary handles our account and we definately feel he is a decent guy, very straighforward, no bull, and collectively he has saved us over £10,000!

As someone has said earlier VW have deals on Passats to meet dealer targets. Irvines@ Bridgwater in Somerset had 2.0 S 130
saloons for £12500 saving £2900 good price but no longer available. This was 10 days ago yet still being advertised in the local press.Looks like i,ll have to wait till the end of next year to change.
